Point-of-care testing refers to a test method that is carried out in the field of patient sample collection and rapidly obtains test results by means of portable analytical instruments and supporting reagents. POCT can be defined in two aspects: in terms of space, the test is conducted near the patient, that is, “Bedside Test”; in terms of time, “Real-time Test” can be conducted. The main features of POCT are rapid, easy to use and cost saving, such as blood glucose detection, cardiac markers detection, blood gas analysis, PT-INR detection, etc.
